September 17, 2008 celebrities, editor's notes, luxury homes, news No CommentsAs the tallest residential tower in Center City, The Residences at Two Liberty Place has made Philadelphia history with the highest prices per square foot ever in residential real estate — $1,370 per square foot.
Just last month, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi purchased a three-bedroom, three and a half-bath residence on the 52nd floor for $3.58 million. Chase Lenfest, founder and CEO of Lenfest Media Group, has a 6,000 square foot condominium residence on the 46th floor –- valued in excess of $8 Million. Together with another $8 million-plus Two Liberty Place residence from another purchaser, these transactions represent the highest-priced condominium sales in Philadelphia County, according to Albo J. Antenucci, Jr. Managing Partner and Executive VP of the Falcone Group, the developer of the project.
Ensconced within the top 20 floors of one of Philadelphia’s trophy skyscrapers, these 90 super-luxury condominiums represent the highest residences in the City’s history, with the lowest floor soaring high above any other penthouse in Philadelphia. “Qualified prospects who make it to the sales center atop the 57th floor invariably have an emotional reaction to the wall-to-wall, unobstructed, 360 degree vista that spans over 40 miles into Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware,” says Mary Genovese, a broker from Prudential Fox & Roach’s Rittenhouse office.
