As writers, we always have something to say, and saying it on the Web is an exciting prospect. Months ago, when our Web site team started on the redesign plans of this site, the idea for this blog became a reality. No longer tied to the timelines and press schedules of the traditional world of magazine production, I was (and still am) thrilled at the notion of writing about luxury real estate, at will—on a weekly, daily or more-than-daily basis. And that all begins today with the launch of our new site!
Joining me on this blog will be a few other members of the Unique Homes crew who are just as excited about this tool: Rick Goodwin (publisher), Nick Antonicello (director of sales) and Mark Moffa (managing editor). Between us, we are proud—and a little stunned by the fact—that we have a combined total of more than 65 years of experience in the luxury residential market. Our goal now is to bring some of our experience and thoughts to this site…hopefully, giving you some interesting viewpoints on the high-end, passing along any news or trends and, of course, hearing your thoughts as well. We welcome your feedback and any luxury tidbits you’d like to share. So sign in now. We want to hear from you.

Luxury experts from Dubai, Thailand, Canada, Panama, Mexico and the United States gathered in Vancouver last week, where LuxuryRealEstate.com held its 12th Annual Luxury Real Estate Membership Conference

The 2007 Luxury Real Estate Awards highlighted the proceedings. Diane Turton of Diane Turton Realtors in New Jersey was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement award. Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in Long Island, N.Y., was honored for its Best Overall Marketing Package and Equitable Sotheby’s International Realty in Phoenix, Ariz., won the Most Innovative Marketing Technique award. Equitable’s E-Match pairs like-minded clients and brokers. Real Living Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, also won for Best Web Site — www.RealLiving.com
